Acumem was founded in 2006 as a spin-out of Uppsala University’s architectural research, and was acquired be Rogue Wave Software 2010 to become Rogue Wave Software AB (RWAB).
RWAB has a mixture of industrial and university expertise among its employees. The first product SlowSpotter was launched in November 2007 and its second product ThreadSpotter in November 2008, RWAB products perform automatic analyses of the whereabouts of a binary and suggest hands-on changes at the source level to a programmer.
The role of RWAB is to extend its tools offering to efficiently support scalable non-uniform architectures and also to, together with Nema Labs, create a stream-lined programming environment for the transition of sequential applications to optimized parallel applications for heterogeneous architectures.
